They Can't Take Our Rights
Name: Kefka Palazzo
Age: 27
Personality:
Kefka is, for all intents and purposes, completely insane. He is loud, short tempered, and destructive, and often kills for the sole sake of killing. His views on the world are twisted, and he believes that, because he is capable of taking lives, he might as well go ahead with it. On a much larger front, he sees the world as nothing more than something to burn to the ground. He recognizes the endless cycle of life and death that make up existence, and if given the chance he would gladly put a stop to it the same way a bucket of water might stop a lit match from burning. He does not entirely care about his actions, and his mannerisms might seem humorous if not for his murderous tendencies.

History:
Kefka originates in a world devoid of natural sources of magic. Indeed, the ability to cast a spell comes from the remains of seemingly mythical being called Espers in the form of magicite. He was abandoned at a young age and suffered through life as an orphan. When he was able he fled to Vector, the capital city of the Gestahlian Empire, and graduated from the Imperial Academy with top marks. He soon after agreed to participate in an experiment conducted by the Cid of that world. This test was for Magitek infusion; should it succeed, Kefka would be capable of using magic without the aid of magicite.
Initially the procedure was declared a success. Kefka was unharmed and capable of manipulating magical energies. In time he became an Imperial general, and was renowned as a brilliant tactician. However, over longer periods of time signs of mental decay began to manifest. Once shy and reserved, he began to wear lavish robes and paint his face with make-up. On a few occasions he was found playing with dolls. His memory began to fade, until he remembered little of his early life. He flew into wild rages and lashed out at random soldiers when he was angry, even if they had nothing to do with his mood. Emperor Gestahl removed him from his military position, but rewarded him for years of outstanding service with a position as Court Mage.
Kefka wished to grow in power, and so began siphoning the energy from Espers originally captured for Imperial use. He leveled entire towns for a chance to obtain more magicite, became a prime threat to the resistance group that opposed the Empire, and poisoned the kingdom of Doma during a siege. This last crime was later brought to light and Kefka was arrested for war crimes.
….or so it seemed. In truth this was a ploy for Gestahl to gain the trust of the resistance group The Returners and for Kefka to launch a surprise attack against a diplomatic envoy of Espers, whom he wiped out along with general Leo Christophe. They then travel to the Floating Continent in the Esper’s world, so as to seize the power of the three gods known as the Warring Triad. It was Kefka who took control of this dormant trinity, killing Gehstahl, becoming the new God of Magic, and bringing the world to ruin. He reigned as god for over a year until the Returners, reassembled after his conquest, stormed his mighty tower and defeated him in a final climactic battle.

We will fight
Weapons: Kefka has a morning star that he occasionally uses, but this is considered his weakest mode of offense.
Powers: Though he no longer has his godhood, Kefka retains his power as a living Magitek experiment. He has access to relatively high-level black magic, as well as the stamina to constantly use it in battle. He is also capable of making an illusory double of himself. This double is controlled mentally by him, and is effectively solid, but only holds about 1/5 of Kefka’s power.

London: a city known well enough by the world, as well as the capital of mighty England itself. Also an international center of trade, what with it being one of the earlier cities to establish railways so as to reach far-off locations. There was no questioning that it was a thriving metropolis of the times. However, as would be expected of such a place, London had its darker side as well. The ruin to match the prosperity. Beggars, thieves, slashers, prostitutes, you name it. Even if high society refused to permit them into its world, they still existed. Many thought them to be the great dangers that threatened their lifestyle. In truth, however, they were in fact the easiest targets for the REAL monsters of the world. After all, who would ever miss that which was but refuse to begin with?
Plaisir strolled through the open cobbled streets of the gray city, his body denying the cold night air its power to chill the veins. The light “put put put” of his shoes, Alain’s shoes, resounded in the deathly silence about him. He paused momentarily under a streetlamp to check his pocket watch for the hour. 11:13. A good enough time to hunt if he ever saw one.
The Akuma had been at it for some time, this late-night murder gig in foggy London town. It was literally what he was born to do. For the moment, however, he was sticking to the filth that came out in the later hours of the day, when the well-to-dos were tucked into their warm beds. Not only did their disappearance attract the least attention, but they were absolute fun! Especially when he decided to give them a chance to escape. They never did, but they all knew the place better than Plaisir and managed to be some of the greatest sport ever. Just the other night he had chased some throat-cutting lunatic through the sewers for a whole half and hour! Prancing through the undercity would not normally constitute a good time, but pursuing a scared human through what might as well be a labyrinth was nothing short of hilarious!
That was when he saw her. Not even ten feet away was a scantly clad woman standing just outside an alleyway. Plaisir may not have been in the area for too long, but he knew a prostitute when he saw one. Placing the golden watch into his coat pocket and stroking his shaven chin, he made his approach.
Heh, she looks like a screamer. I wonder how much she can take....
