Break These Chains
They Can't Take Our Rights
Name: Azure (As - your)
Age: 16
Species: Nobody
Description:
Being of average male height, Azure stands at about 5’11 with red, spiked hair that is long enough to be tied back into a ponytail. He has glistening green eyes that give off an extreme level of intelligence, but in combat drastically change to a maroon color. A pair of scars just above both of his eyes, along with a pentagram-shaped brand on his left palm, which thankfully is covered his black glove. He’s got numerous other small scars from burns in his years before becoming a member of the new Organization, but none are visible due to the black leather Organization cloak. His face reveals his still youthful features, and often wears a sneer of supreme cockiness. He has a very thin figure, making him very agile. He shares a similar accent with everyone’s favorite pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, more specifically a Cockney accent.
Compared to the rest of the Organization, Azure’s got a more complex personality. He is viewed as a cocky teenager who doesn’t know when to shut his mouth. He drives people to their limits, causing many of his fellow members to dislike him. However, each one of them would agree that he is extremely intelligent; he meticulously thinks situations over, and if it doesn’t go as he thought, he instantly knows how to fix it. He’s claimed to be a good liar, a trait that carried over from his human life. No one really knows what the boy’s thinking, making him one of the more mysterious members of the Organization. He tries not to get too close to the others, and even though he’s not afraid to speak his mind, he doesn’t give away much about himself. He is the only member who appreciates the life of being a Nobody, possibly due to the fact that in his human life, he was treated as if he were one.
What game are you from/or are you a OC: Azure's an OC.
History:
Azure was born into a meager peasant family on a unknown world. The world is complete ruins, and utter chaos due to sectioning of government and corruption of economy. Times were extremely rough, and his parents wanted simply what was best for their son. Since it was improbable that they’d be able to escape, they requested that a friend of theirs transport him elsewhere; somewhere he’d be free of harm or chance of being brought into slavery. The friend agreed wholeheartedly, even promised that he’d take care of the boy as if he were his own child.
The two of them arrived without too much difficulty in Traverse Town, a world filled with refugees from numerous other worlds. The man passed through the streets in search for their new home, cradling Azure in one arm while holding onto his bag with the other. He ended up in District 2, the location of an inn where he and Azure would be spending a good deal of their lives until the man established better living quarters.
For four years, he kept his vow to Azure’s parents by acting as the boy’s guardian. He taught him all the basic fundamentals that he’d need for the rest of his life and paid for all his expenses. He became very close with the young male, so much that the boy started calling him “father.” The older gentleman was surprised at Azure's response; honored that he gained the title, but a bit disappointed because he knew he wasn't the boy’s biological father.
One evening as the two of them were returning from a local market, they were ambushed by a group of teenaged brutes. Fingers rested on the triggers of their pistols, they asked for any valuable belongings that the man had in his current possession. Not daring to give in to their pleas, the leader of the gang fired a quick bullet at the man’s chest. He collapsed to his knees while choking out his last breaths. He managed to match eyelevel with Azure; one hand rested on his wound, and the other gripped on the child’s shoulder. “Azure, there’s something I need to tell you. I am not your real father; your real parents told me to look after you, since our home world is far too dangerous to raise an infant.” He forced out in a rapid gasps. “I hate to inform you at such a young age, but since I don’t have much time left, I thought it was best. You were like the son I’ve always wanted; now hurry on before those people get you, too.”
Azure was too terrified to even speak, let alone move. But he knew his guardian meant well. He dashed away hastily, tears still swelling up in his eyes. To think life was perfect just that morning, however, in a matter of minutes, he found out the man who had been taking care of him wasn’t his genetic father and was now lying in a pool of his own blood, motionless. He stopped running once he entered District 2, feeling that he was a secure distance away from possible threat. He sauntered into his room inside the inn, getting stray glances here and there on the way up. He had to admit; it was obscure to see a four-year-old boy walking around on his own, not that he had much choice now.
Years passed, and Azure developed some excellent streets smarts, as well as gained an interest in reading and searching for information. He used his newfound talents to trick people into giving him what he wanted, usually acquired them relatively easy due to his short stature and innocent-looking appearance. He became well respected amongst the citizens, known mostly for his intelligence.
By the age of twelve, the fiery young mind decided to take on the lifestyle of a skilled ruffian, which was ironic due to how his mentor died. Day by day, he’d come up with creative ways to obtain wealth. In these times, was when he discovered an obscure love for fire, and used his pristine abilities to set fire to those he disliked or caused harm to others. Yet, he always seemed to cause the local ‘enforcement’ some difficulty; however, he managed to talk himself out of various occasions with his knack for being an experienced liar. Eventually though it reached the point to where Azure received less morale from the people of Traverse Town. Azure had attained the status of ‘Nobody’ throughout, and folks that he once was well acquainted with no longer spoke to him. Didn’t upset him in the slightest though.
Throughout his time of ‘nonexistence’, he educated himself with more constructive methods of flame, receiving an abundance of burns and scars on his flesh. Once he even branded his palm with the pentagram insignia (which comes into a bigger role later in his ‘life’).
At the age of sixteen, the life-altering event occurred. Heartless swarmed by the thousands into the refugee hideout, bringing an awful scare to the citizens since they believed the Heartless were exterminated long ago. Azure thought this to be the ultimate experiment for his powers, and possibly get back some of his respect. Needless to say, his plan backfired. He managed to eliminate a great deal of the blackened beings, but they still outnumbered him by like a thousand to one. Azure surrendered to them, and they practically devoured his heart.
Nowadays, he’s ranked number two in a reconstructed Organization, and is known as the Egocentric Torch.
Face Claim: He's got a similar personality/appearance to Axel, but has Reno's hair.

We will fight
Weapons:
Azure wields dual katanas that he christened Conflagration’s Restraint. He constructed the two swords when he was still human. Following the description of most katanas, Conflagration’s Restraint is slender, curved, has a single-edged blade, and has a circular guard. Since most katanas are heavy and require two hands to accommodate it, the grips on Azure’s are shortened and the sword is lightweight, so that they’re much more versatile in battle. Each blade is a different shade of red: one a darker shade of maroon, and the other one close to a burgundy. One of the blades, the Organization symbol is printed on the guard, and on the other the fire insignia to represent his attribute. As explained in Powers, Azure can also ignite his katanas into full blaze, (meaning they’re completely fire resistance) and further use them as projectiles. His precise aim makes the katanas almost as useful as regular throwing knives. Azure is never seen carrying Conflagration’s Restraint; he summons them into his hands before combat.
Powers:
Azure is capable of manipulating the element of flame to obey his every whim. One touch of fire on his skin won’t even affect him in the slightest, so he is able to summon a wall of flame to shield himself. He is also able to conjure fire magic from the pentagram scar on his left palm, and can ignite his dual katanas into full flame to then use them as projectiles. Like every other member of the Organization, he has the ability to open portals to get anywhere in a quick jiffy without using much energy. When he has gained enough concentration, he conjures Spitfire, where he engulfs into full flame and unleashes a rapid and powerful combination of blows to his opponents. In simpler terms, if he wanted to, he could probably burn an entire building with the snap of his fingers.

Custom Title: The Egocentric Torch
Sample RP:
Strolling through the streets of Radiant Garden, once known as Hallow Bastion, a black-cloaked figure hummed a familiar tune of one of his favorite pastimes. Receiving gasps from the crowd around him, he stopped in mid-step. He threw back his hood, revealing a striking young man with flaming red hair. His piercing eyes of emerald glowed with fierce passion as he glanced around at all the people around him.
The black-cloaked individual watched as the people’s glares instantly changed to horrified expressions as soon as he exposed his true face. It was obvious that some of the townspeople were able to recognize him, probably because he’s traveled through the area quite often to raise hell within the town limits, relatively literal as well. Everyone knew the character’s name even; he was just that popular. His name: Azure.
Aye, these folks gaze at me like I’m their prime entertainment. Suddenly, a flicker of flame glimmered from Azure’s right palm. He flashed the townspeople one of his notorious smirks and let out a quick chuckle. Well, can’t have them waiting much longer; let’s lighten up this shindig, savvy? He said to himself, his eyes changing from their usual shade of green, to a light reddish color, slightly dimmer than his hair.
He didn’t bother to summon Conflagration’s Restraint, his twin katanas. The young Nobody figured it would be rather pointless to bring the weapons into the scene. They will receive enough amusement from my flames as it is. Better not to spoil the pride of the blades. Immediately following his words, his hand engulfed into flame, from fingertip to the end of his wrist.
As predicted, there was one faithful and bold character that parted from the crowd and stepped forward toward Azure. Right when the man was about to speak, the Egocentric Torch stopped him. I’m already aware of what you are going to say mate. You honestly think you’ll stand a chance? You’ve witnessed the destruction I’ve caused for those who get in my way. He said arrogantly. Pity, I wasn’t planning on harming anything, but you humans are just so clueless sometimes…wait, most of the time.
After his final word, he unleashed a blast of fire toward the man who dared to face him. In a matter of seconds, the poor citizen was completely incinerated and returned as a pile of ash. Satisfied, Azure grinned back at the townsfolk; expressions of utter terror after just watching another member get disintegrated in mere seconds. Azure threw his hood back on still wearing his cocky smirk. He walked away from the swarm of people. His mood was uplifted so much, that instead of humming, he sang the actual words this time. Burn baby burn. Disco inferno.
(I already have a sample role-play for Auron, but I've had this idea for Azure since I first thought of him.)
