Name: Ruby
Age: 19
Personality: It's as if the spirit of the southwest was bottled up inside her. Ruby is a spirited, lively young woman with a big heart, the sort of person that uses endearments to address everyone. She is very hospitable and treats everyone as friends, even if they are complete strangers. She's courteous and warm, but can sass a person up and down the street if she's rubbed the wrong way. Ruby's infamous for going the extra mile to prove how gutsy she is. It usually takes a lot to irritate Ruby, though, which the Tantalus boys are aware of and fully take advantage of.
Because of her background in theater, Ruby is a slight drama queen and enjoys being the center of attention, though she'd never admit it.
Thinking has never been her forte; she can be a bit slow, and she isn't the brightest bulb hanging from the catwalk. But what Ruby lacks in brains she makes up for in sheer dedication (she's known for saying "It ain't done till it's done right!") That must be what makes her such a talented actress.

History: Ruby is a Lindblum native, hailing specifically from the Theater District. She lived her entire childhood in the metropolis. Right from the get go and as far back as she can remember, she's had a fascination with theater. Ruby attended every local try-out for any play she heard of, though she didn't strike gold till she met Baku, the leader of Tantalus.
She joined that theater troupe's act, and soon her name was headlining every play bill they put out. Ruby got her own dressing room aboard Tantalus' airship, and it didn't take long for the vivacious platinum blonde to make fast friends with every boy who worked with her. Though she was aware that her fellow actors moonlighted as bandits and thieves, it only bothered her if it interfered with work, which it normally didn't. Ruby was living her dream.
Then, when performing the hit play I Want To Be Your Canary, starring as Princess Cornelia, the lead female role, in Alexandria, everything changed. After a wild night where Princess Garnet was captured and stowed away on the airship Prima Vista, Ruby was left behind. That's when she did what was typical of her, and made lemonade from the lemons she was handed by starting a mini-theater right there in Alexandria.
A spark of animosity momentarily manifested between the Tantalus crew and Ruby, who was still sore about being forgotten by them, but the whole deal became water under the bridge once her business started rolling, and she even rejoined the theater troupe to reprise her role as Cornelia later on, after all the turmoil in Gaia was settled and Zidane came home.
