Name: Rinoa Heartilly.

Personality:
Rinoa is a very upbeat and optimistic girl. She is usually cheerful and happy when around others. She can be forward with her requeasts though and will fight to get what she wants. She is an independent woman who expresses intelligence as well. Specifically with strategies. She does have a joking side which she often expresses when teasing Squall Leonhart from time to time. All in good fun of course. Rinoa also can be a bit stubborn and closed-minded. She tends to think that she is always right, often with her plans. She usually doesn't like to accept ideas from others that much either.
Rinoa could also be described as the exact opposite of Squall Leonhart. She is relaxed and carefree whereas Squall is uptight and serious. They do face some arguements when first meeting as they are so different. Since opposites attract though, Rinoa falls in love with him. And with her unique happy personality, she manages to make a crack in the uptight Squall and open him up more.

History:
Rinoa grew up most of her life away from her family. Her mother passed away when she was only five and she had as rough relationship with her father which led her to leave home. From there, she decided to take her mother's maiden name Heartilly as her last name. Rinoa then joined an organization called Forest Owls. The Forest Owls were a group of teenage resistance who were against the tyranny of Galbadian Republic. They were trying to free the small nation of Timber from the Galbadian. Rinoa was a strategist for the Forest Owls and she suggested that they add SeeD members to the Forest Owls to help Timber gain its independance. Rinoa goes to the SeeD celebration party and manages to get Squall to dance with her.
Rinoa manages to get the help of Seifer, whom she was formly in a relationship with. She is introduced to Cid who allows her to have three SeeD members to join them. The members are Zell, Selphie and Squall. Rinoa comes up with a plan to kidnap the Galbadia President. The other Forest Owls and the SeeDs agree but the president turns out to be a fake on the train they had hijacked. After this plan and another one by Rinoa fail, the Forest Owls begin to lose confidence in Timber. Squall and Rinoa begin to argue. Squall questions her leadership on The Owls. Rinoa, getting offended by this, leaves and goes to find Seifer.
Rinoa and Squall get into yet another arguement this time over Seifer's fate, whom they believe to be dead. Rinoa reveals her past relationship with him to the others. After doing this, Rinoa decides to follow Squall and the other SeeDs pretending to be one herself. They head into the Deling City where they meet General Caraway, whom Rinoa hadn't seen in some time. He is aware that she is apart of the Forest Owls, though. He locks Rinoa in a room while he tells the SeeDs about the sorceress Edea. Rinoa comes out and suggests a plan to stop Edea though the others do not back her up on the plan since they think she is just trying to be the opposite of her father. Rinoa being very stubborn continues with her plan. Rinoa proceeded to carry out her plan, entering the Presidential Residence, and offers the bangle to Edea as a gift. Though she sees through Rinoa's plan and Edea instead casts a spell that renders Rinoa under her control. Edea is able to control Rinoa like a puppet from this.
Squall and Irvine manage to save Rinoa from Edea. They try to fight against her but end up being imprisioned, though they will escape. Another attack had come from Edea shortly after. From this, they decide to separate into groupds and Rinoa goes with Squall. At this point they begin to develop feelings for eachother.
Eventually a battle is started and they fight against Edea and manage to defeat her. Rinoa suffers from horrible condition after the battle and is in a coma. The sorceress powers of Edea also come into her. When she awakens from the coma. The sorceress Ultimecia, who had been controlling Edea, takes temporary control over Rinoa and speaks through her and unlocks Adel's Tomb. She then leaves Rinoa's body and Rinoa has a heart-to-heart conversation with Squall. She worries about becoming an evil sorceress and even goes so far as to ask Squall to kill her if she does. Squall promises to protect her from this.
Once returning back to the planet, they invade Lunatic Pandora where they must fight against Seifer and Sorceress Adel, who are aso under Ultimecia's control. They can not harm Rinoa in the battle though. Before she dies, Sorceress Adel is forced to give up her Sorceress powers to Rinoa as well. When she has no other options, Ultimecia enters Rinoa as Ellone and sends Rinoa back in time so that she can begin a Time Compression. The spell is halted halfway by Ellone's conscious from the future who stops the spell. The spell does still have an affect and the group has to travel through the future and make it to Ultimecia's castle in the future and they defeat her.
Rinoa waits for Squall in the flower field like they had promised but he does not show up. She uses her sorceress powers to find him. Rinoa finds him at the end of time and because of her coming and her beliefe that he would survive, he is saved and the two were sent back to the flower field, like they had promised.

-This is Rinoa's first Limit Break where she teams up with Angelo, Rinoa's dog. Rinoa performs what seems to be typical Dog/Master tricks though they are used in battle and have an effect on fighting against the enemy.
Angel Wing
- This is Rinoa's Second Limit Break. With this the two white 'wings' on the back of her sweater become true wings of an angel. Rinoa's magic is boosted higher while in this mode and she can fly.
- Rinoa also gains the powers of a Sorceress toward the end of the game when the powers have been surrendered into her.
Rinoa also now has the powers of a sorceress.

Sample RP: A female figure wandered into a field full of all sorts of flowers. She walked slowly taking her time having nowhere to rush to. Or no one to rush to. She didn't really look sad exactly. She was always known for being optimistic. Rarely did she let the worst of situations get to her. That ws Rinoa Heartilly for her. The expression on her face looked more neutral if anything. With a bit of hope in it. She gentley touched the flowers in the field with a small smile on the face. They were so pretty today. Some of the younger buds had decided to blossom.
A slight breeze was in the air and it ran through Rinoa's dark brown hair. Some of the flower petals would come off the flower and dance around in the air. This made her smile a bit more. It was such a peaceful day here. No fighting or anything like that. But she was in the field alone. But her thoughts were only on one person who she was wishing to be here with her. Squall Leonhart. She didn't know where he had gone off to. Something about other worlds. Rinoa had thought that it was cute that he wanted to explore more but she didn't realize until now how much she would miss him. She looked up to the bright blue sky with a smile.
"Think you'll ever decide to come back? I bet you think its heaven being away from me."
Rinoa spoke out loud with a small laugh. She obviously wasn't expecting any sort of response since she was speaking to herself. But she hoped that maybe he was thinking about her to. That would be the best thing that she could be told. As she looked around the flower field, she felt the breeze pick up and more petals were blowing. She let one land in her hand and looked at it for a moment then closed her hand. Opening it again she watched the breeze take it away with a smile.
