Personality:
Optimistic, happy, cheerful and kind are jusdt a few words to describe this most interesting girl. Almost like a ray of sunshine, Vanille has a sunny outlook on life and everything in it. She is always positive with things and even though her life may be pretty awful at pooints and is a lot for the most part, she is always looking to the good that she has in her life no matter how little that it may be. All she needs is one ray of sunshine in her life to make her happy. She is very selfless as well not wanting that much of anything aside from her freedom. She is always putting her friends before her wanting the best for them.
She is flawed in the fact that she is very naive. She doesn't realize that not everyone in the world is good and pure. She doesn't like to think of people as bad and at least wants to try to give them a chance so she knows whether they are nice or not. This can often lead to trouble since she is willing to take this risk with people. She is a bit timid when you first meet her but after talking and getting to know you, she is very friendly and will gladly consider you a friend.

History:
Vanille is a young girl who grew up in Pulse. She is an I'Cie to the fal'Cie a group of super natural beings, one of the more superior races on the planet. Many do not reside on the planet though due to all of the trouble that the planet has seeing as it has monsters all over and creating much danger for the people. Vanille is a special I'Cie in the fact that she carries a heavy burden of the fal'Cie. She doesn't talk about it much and she may not even know what the supernatural beings have within her. Vanille also has a very dark and tragic past to her that she doesn't like to refer to, or even think about at all.
Despite having to live amungst all of the danger in the world, Vanille has a very bright and sunny outlook on life and she is a very positive girl. She always looks for the best of things. Vanille also learned how to defend herself for the better do to all of the danger that was around. She picked up fighting skills mainly using her bow.
Vanille is a friend of fellow I'Cie Lightning and Snow. She is looking to do what she can to help the two of them against the Holy Government with the resistance that they are forming against them. She is very cheerful when with them and is even seen playing around with Snow's weapon due to her curiosity. While possibly helping out in the resistance, Vanille gets herself into trouble when most likely trying to help out Lightning and Snow. In the latest trailer, Vanille is seen being taken away by guards waiting to be expelled to Pulse, a world underneath Cocoon that the people of Cocoon are very afraid of. The Holy Government has the right to expel people they suspect of having ‘bad influence’ on Cocoon, the city above the sky.
Vanille is taken away by them and she is shown wearing the execution robes showing that she is being sentenced to death. She is chained to the wall and being inspected by a Sanctum officer. Vanille obviously escapes from this with the help of her friends. She still manages to remain happy even after almost dying.

- Can cast spells by using her arrows. Basic ones such as blizzard and such but she uses her arrows for aim and such. Being an I'Cie, she can perform magic.
