Name: Xigbar
Age: Appears between 45-50, in reality only about 9 years old as a Nobody
Personality: Xigbar is laid back and talks like someone you’d expect to run into at a California beach, peppering all his words with outdated slang and taking a very relaxed attitude towards the Organization’s entire goal. It’s hard to imagine that he was once a scientist and an apprentice of Ansem’s himself, but he was—and he’s smarter than his accent implies. The scar he’s picked up and his missing eye aren’t the result of ignorance but of a general disregard for danger, which is something that someone wielding a pair of guns and capable of opening portals to anywhere has to have in order to function. Possibly his favorite trick is to simply defy gravity, as he’s both skilled and playful enough to be found walking on the ceiling or wall just as naturally as the floor. Don’t underestimate him, though—Xigbar’s mind is a scary place, and he acts deceptively oblivious when in truth he’s very sharp and can be extremely dangerous.

History: Xigbar was originally Braig, an apprentice of Ansem’s around the time Xehanort showed up, and with the rest of them he was turned into a Nobody when they pressed their luck. It’s hard to say if he’d already lost his eye and scarred himself by then or if that was already the case, but either way he’s a seasoned fighter and he ran a mission or two with Roxas once the boy became a member. While he became ranked at Number Two in the Organization, that’s not necessarily equal to his status, as Saïx technically holds more sway than he does.
Xigbar wasn’t one of the people to go to Castle Oblivion and so didn’t encounter Sora until Sora visited Hollow Bastion and what remained of the Organization encountered him en masse. Xigbar was the one to block his progress and allow the others to escape, and recognized what Roxas there was left in Sora. He indicated that he was going to fight, but instead just vanished like the rest, proving that he’d only been a convenient distraction. Then, when Sora ran into a cloaked someone in the Land of Dragons and chased him back to the palace—believing it to be Riku—he encountered Xigbar again, who claimed never to have heard of Riku in the first place. Xigbar called some Heartless and left Sora to fight those while he made his escape.
Sora eventually made his way to the World That Never Was and finally fought Xigbar in the Hall of Empty Melodies. Despite the fact that Xigbar wanted Sora to be a “good boy” and claimed that he was nothing compared to the previous Keymasters, whom Xigbar had presumably met while under Ansem’s tutelage, Sora defeated him and Xigbar faded away.

Powers: Xigbar has total control over physics, which means he can treat the law of gravity like a suggestion and create portals to wherever he wants. This also helps him to direct his bullets to wherever he likes.

Sample RP: The Gun Arrows had combined into his rifle, resting against the roof of Memory Skyscraper with Xigbar more or less sprawled behind it, good eye at the laser sight and finger curled tensely around the trigger.
The itsy-bitsy Heartless climbed up the waterspout…

Down came the slug, and took the Heartless out…
He heard the nonexistent shell clatter against the roof beside him, looking up over his weapon with a grin as far below him the Heartless dispersed into smoke and its companions swiveled anxiously, seeking the enemy.
And just as he prepared to take the next shot, a raindrop hit the scar on his cheek. At first he didn’t notice, but then one buried itself in his hair and he growled at the sky. Just perfect timing, while he was on his break, too.
Out came the moon, and with it came the rain…
Undeterred, he pulled his hood over his head and took aim.
…And the itsy-bitsy Heartless climbed up the spout again.
