Name: Quistis Trepe
Age: 18
Personality: Quistis is known as a child prodigy around Balamb Garden. At 15, she became a SeeD, while at 18, she is the youngest instructor in the Garden and even has her own fan club. However, because she is so young, she is more lax and not as strict as the other instructors, and this causes problems with some of her students not taking her as seriously as they should. Quistis is of a friendly disposition and always tries to maintain her calm. Due to her quiet assertiveness and restraint, very few people take the trouble to view her as the young woman she still is and so, forced to mull over her thoughts and worries alone, kept at a distance from her pupils by her rank, Quistis tends to brood a lot.
What game are you from/or are you a OC: Final Fantasy VIII
History: Not much is known about Quistis, but her parents died in the Sorceress War, which took place before the start of FFVIII. After that, it is assumed that Quistis must have been taken to Edea's Orphanage, with the rest of the 'gang'.
Whilst she was growing up, a family (details unknown) had decided to adopt Quistis. They didn't get on too well, and by the age of 10, Quistis was taken to Balamb Garden. She was trained using Guardian Forces, which meant that Quistis' memories were then mostly lost and she forgot all about her childhood in the lighthouse by the sea and of her memories of all her friends vanished.
Years later, Seifer and Squall were transferred to Balamb Garden, and Quistis found the two interesting (mostly Squall), and usually intervened to stop their squabbles. She had thought that she was in love with Squall, but discovers that it was simply childhood friendship that drew her to him.
Quistis became a child prodigy in Garden, as she was a SeeD at age 15, and an Instructor at 17.
A year later, the SeeD testing started up and Squall registered himself for the testing after completing the written exams. Quistis joins as his aid during the testing and she is happily surprised that he passes and becomes a SeeD as she always had high expectations for him. Sadly, after the graduation ball, Quistis finds out that her Instructor's permit will be removed as they don't see her as fit to be an Instructor. Quistis then becomes a full-time SeeD and is no longer Squall's Instructor, but rather a teammate.
Quistis confides to Squall later on how they were the same now and as equals. She was no longer his teacher and she tells him how they might actually have the same line of work someday. Squall gives her the cold shoulder and walks off, obviously uninterested. Quistis feels heartbroken at this, and starts to doubt herself as anything but a failure.
Heading off, Squall goes out to Timber to help the rebellious group known as the Timber Owls headed by the somewhat stubborn and free-spirited Rinoa Heartilly. Quistis sees that Squall has an attraction for the beauty and she decides to give up on ever hoping that Squall would someday love her. Sadly, Quistis sort of fades into the background afterwards and the story centers around Squall and Rinoa's growing relationship.
A long time passes, and eventually, the group starts to get their memories back. Irvine realizes that the happy-go-lucky Selphie Tilmitt is his "Sephie" from childhood. Afterwards, all the group slowly uncovers their past and are happy that they've found each other. Quistis then realizes that she wasn't in love with Squall; it was simply her "sister-like" instinct that forced her to act that way. She tells Squall this dismissing her attraction to him as "A... misunderstood... love?"
After the final battle with Ultimecia, Quistis returns back to the Garden with the rest of the team. All that can be said is that in the end, Quistis looks happy.

Reading the GardenNet message sent by Rinoa, Quistis was in two minds: should she resume marking papers, or help out with the preparations?
In the end, her 'inner voice' persuaded her to help with the upcoming event: something she was sure that both Selphie and Rinoa would be proud of, as she was positive that they viewed her as a typical 'workaholic'.
... But, nowadays, everyone had to work hard.
After securely locking up her classroom, Quistis was planning to make her way to Rinoa's office, to assist in preparing the event, and possibly meeting some of her close friends.
However, she found herself bumping into a very familiar someone.
