Just a castaway an island lost at sea ANOTHER LONELY DAY NO-ONE HERE BUT ME. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - There's a reason, Sora thinks, as to why this place doesn't accept outsiders. It's not very courteous, he knows, but it doesn't stop him from getting his butt into this place anyway. He doesn't remember whether he left a note for Kairi and Riku back at Destiny Islands, letting them know where he is, but he doesn't care. Stories have passed across borders about this place, crossing jurisdictions due to the curiosity of mankind. Sora smiles gently at the mere thought of it, how everyone binds together. He closes his eyes and begins to walk across the paths towards the closed gates, sees the sign 'Iquoto' as soon as he opens his ocean eyes. There's so much security here, and he wonders as to why this is so. The boy frowns, clearly not amused. Not courteous at all.
He secures the knapsack slung over his shoulders, looks at all the people guarding the place; and then running towards the brush to keep silent. Hopefully no-one else sees him, hopefully no-one else is traveling down this dirt path. Then again, he remembers his luck and how horrible it is, and grumbles a little to himself. Quietly, he looks side to side and watches the guards, watches how they move and how they go along. He analyzes their routes, analyzes how long they take in one station before moving to another one. Sora's breath hitches a few minutes later as he sees an opening, and he's not sure whether to make a mad run for it or not.
He knows this is insane, but he grins. Nothing new to him. Nothing new at all.
Immediately, he makes a mad dash for the place; keeps as silent as his large clown-shoes can make him, and then--
"Hey! You!"
Sora's breath hitches a bit more, and he attempts to move quicker, letting out a soft gasp as he climbs the fence; jumps over the barbed wire and cuts his palm hard enough to go through his gloves and make him cry out. The guards inside see him too, and he continues to run, twisting and turning throughout the place.
He slips into an alleyway, leans against the wall to hold his breath.
'This was harder than I thought..'

The daughter of the head of the city walked along kicking some stray stones, she had been caught sneaking out and was told to stay in the capital. As if she was he going to listen to what her father and his stupid guards we're going to say,she had more important things to do then sit around and look pretty or act like a obedient daughter. After being caught she had decided to visit her mother in the hospital,it made her sad to look upon her mother that way but what could she do.Amelia couldn't heal her and she couldn't wake her up,not even her own father was willing to help out saying it was hopeless.Finding a planter's edge to sit on,she picked a flower and started to pull the petal off.
Soon her thoughts about her mother vanished, she heard a commotion going on and saw a boy run pass her and slip into a alleyway then here came the guards. Was he one of the survivors, wait was that blood on the ground.Amelia quickly stood up stopping the guards, they asked her if she had seen the boy run pass but she simply shook her head. They took off and told her to alert them if she saw him, when they walked off she stuck her tounge out at them.
"Ha as if,keep walking".
They turned around but she put on a innocent face, grumbling they continued on.When they we're out of sight she went to the alleyway that she saw the boy duck into, making sure the coast was clear she ducked inside till she reached his side. Was he crazy for sneaking into the capital,he was just darn lucky not to get killed or shot at.
"Hey you alright, let me see your injury".

Beautiful mother, soft and sweet ONCE YOU WERE GONE WE WERE NOT COMPLETE. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The boy lifts his head at the sound of footsteps, breathing shallow; rushed. He's used to running, but it's not something he does on a daily basis. The sight of a friendly face makes him smile, just slightly, just briefly. He wonders if she'll tell he's here, and he wonders whether this place was worth the trouble. As she goes closer, he squeaks a little and staggers back, infected palm dragging against the rough ground he's resting on. A little cry of pain leaves him, and he grumbles, lifting the hand and staring as vital liquid drips down his palm and along his arm. The fabric of his glove is ripped, and he doesn't like it. Eyes shift as her voice makes itself known, and he looks at her through partially fearful eyes - before the sentence completely registers in his mind.
"I'm fine, promise!" Sora retorts, confident grin on his face; said grin being wiped away as soon as the leather on his gloves once more touches his cut and a wince leaves him. "Okay.. so I'm not fine. But you gotta go, now. I don't think you should be talkin' to an outsider, seeing as everyone wants me to get outta here for some reason."
However, there's that look in her eyes that remind him just briefly of Kairi, and Sora sighs as he holds out his palm - blood still dripping from the rift created by the barbed wires he had a scrape with. The Keyblade Master isn't so excited about it, but as he looks he can't help but wince again. Just the sight of it sends shivers up and down his spine.. up and down, up and down.
There's a sheepish smile on his face, and his blue eyes hold boyish embarrassment.

"Your fine,I don't believe it".
The way he was squirming told her that he wasn't fine,if that wound was not treated soon it was going to get worse. She put her hands on her hips and shook her head lightly,a smile flashed across her lips.He didn't have to worry about her after all she was the daughter of a very important man, even if he was mean......and cruel. If they we're caught she would explain the situation the best she could, after all she was inside the capital walls and what was the worse that could happen. This boy could be arrested and taken to a holding prison, but she would not let him die.
"It's okay i'll protect you".
When he held out his palm she let that smile remain, taking his hand lightly into hers she checked the wound over.It was deep and getting infected quite quickly, she held her other hand over the wound and closed her eyes. Her palm began to glow with a white light, and the wound began to close up and the blood seemed to disappear.Soon the light vanished and he was healed, letting his palm go she rested against the wall. Her powers drained her everytime she helped someone who was wounded, her mother always told her not to use it too much.
"There see all better,i'm Amelia who are you".
The outsiders could use some friends, and she was going to be it.Other's may shun them but that's because her father told the people that it was they're fault the waters have been poisoned,it pained her to see people come into the hospital sick from drinking the tainted water.People at the lab working hard to try and find a cure, but could that even be possible with something so alien and unknown. A life goes by ROMANTIC DREAMS MUST DIE. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It's very embarrassing to have someone worrying over you like this, someone you barely even know. Sora's cheeks flush just slightly at the 'I'll protect you' comment, and then he coughs and tries to pretend that he doesn't appreciate the gesture, like every other guy pretends.. before giving in and letting out a soft little 'thank you'. He watches in amazement as a light glows and his wound is so randomly healed, and blinks, not believing it. It's so much like Curaga, but it never does heal the thing completely. The Keyblade Master admits, and falls prey - he's completely intrigued with her methods, and when he's intrigued, he doesn't let go.
Her powers can't fix his leather gloves, though.
He blinks, turns his head as she rests her body against the wall - looking tired. A little pang of guilt hits him, before he remembers that it is her who wanted to do this. He appreciates it, and he takes a little note in his mind to remind him that he has to pay her back for the things she did. Her name is given, and he tests it on his tongue, letting out a slurred 'Ah-mee-ree-ya', before wrinkling his nose and trying again, trying to separate 'R' from 'L'.
"Amelia," Sora says, blinks at his achievement; before beaming cheerfully. "That's a nice name. I'm Sora, and you prolly know I'm not from here."
The boy thinks he's lucky to find someone that doesn't think of him as the outsider everyone should avoid, and sticks out his good hand; the one with the fixed glove, blue eyes shimmering despite the darkness in the alleyway. "It's nice to meet you."

The feeling of being tired went away, but yet she still remained leaning against the wall.Amelia couldn't do anything for his ripped glove, but at least his hand wouldn't be infected and turn a nasty color. That was never a good thing, and usually people who had infected hands would have to get them removed but she wouldn't say that to him since his hand is healed. After introducing himself back, she nodded and put his name into her memory. She was going to remember it so if they got seperated,or if should anything happen she would know his name. And of course she knew he wasn't from here, you didn't see boys with hair like his and clothing either.
"It's nice to meet you too Sora, which world do you come from".
She didn't know any of the names, but it would still be nice to know incase she wanted to visit. That was rich huh wanting to visit, but each new survivor she met she wanted to make friends with the best she could. It just wasn't right they should be blamed for all the suffering going on with the water supply, she knew in her heart they we're innocent.Hearing footsteps she quickly threw a hand over Sora's mouth to keep him quiet, her blue eyes watched as some guards ran pass.
"I think they're still looking for you".
He well they couldn't stay in this alleyway all day, they had to move.Removing her hand from his mouth, she motioned for him to follow her. This alleyway had two exits, and it was the other one they we're going to use.Slowly and silently she made her way towards the other exit, hoping Sora was following her.It would only be a matter of time before those guards peek they're heads into this alleyway and spot them, after all they can only be so stupid for a certain amount of time before finally realizing they missed a spot. It's a common misconception THAT WE'RE THE ROTTEN GENERATION. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sora doesn't know how to answer that, the question of location - as he's never quite kept in mind the real name of where he comes from. Blue eyes glaze over for a moment as he attempts to recall, and he forgets - only remembers the names of the different towns; worlds; dimensions he's visited. The Keyblade Wielder falters, but he smiles and shrugs. He can't think of the correct term, but he'll give one. "I come from Destiny Islands," he anwers, spiked locks brushing lightly against the cemented wall behind him, body resting against it slack and lazily. His lips curve up into a smile, memories crossing his mind and sticking, keeping him in that state of okayness.
Said state begins to be questioned as a hand clamps over his mouth and his breathing circulation is pulled down, and Sora's about to give a struggle before heavy, lugged footsteps make their way throughout town. He holds his breath, keeps silent; hands reaching up to lightly grasp her arm, almost for comfort. He sees them and he hears her words, and he nods as best he can despite the restraining effort. Blue eyes are frantic, but passionate - desperate for the chase, for the thrill that life keeps bringing. He's tormented, having two choices; to go with his mind and keep silent, hiding - or to run off anyway and let them chase him throughout town, just for the sake of his instinct. Hiding doesn't always help. He knows that.
As she removes her hand from his mouth, he takes in a deep breath and spots her moving away. For a moment, he thinks she's abandoning him, but then sees that look on her face for a fleeting moment - and decides to follow; crawling on the ground because of the noise his humongous clown shoes make. He crawls pretty fast, after all, and if God loves him - and if God exists - then he'll get through alright. Sora's breathing is difficult, but he follows; blue eyes calm, calculating.

She kept her pace to a fair speed, she didn't want to see Sora get left behind.Seeing the exit Amelia made a dash for it,then quickly turned right pressing herself up against the wall.Peeking back into the alleyway her eyes went wide seeing that the guards had spotted them, going back in she grabbed ahold of Sora and pulled him out of the alley. This was bad really bad,now she really needed to help her new friend otherwise he would be caught and she would be in serious trouble.Grabbing his hand she pulled him along, hearing the guards behind them making they're way through that tiny alley.
"Stop hey stop get back here"".
"Go around the other way,cut them off".
Amelia stopped for a moment, letting go of Sora's hand and her staff appearing.Another small spell her mother had taught her,it wouldn't be much but it would hide them for maybe five minutes.Holding her staff out in front of her,a blue circle appeared on the ground and lit up.A shield came up around them, and just like they vanished at least to those who passed by it seemed that way.Her blue eyes watched as the guards came from the alley, then from the left stopping in front of them.
"Sora don't move,don't make a sound".
The guards glanced around wondering where they had gone, wondering how they could just vanish. The decided to go back up the path some of the other's took and some went to the left, when they we're out of sight the shield came down. She was just lucky that Ginji was not with them, otherwise he would have never left the area.Looking back at Sora, she wondered how he was after all that probably a little shaken up.
"Sorry I just didn't want you to be caught,so Destiny Island is where your from sounds nice".

We're searching for a lost heaven HOW WE LONG FOR HEAVEN. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sora feels a sense of loneliness when Amelia moves ahead.
He wants to run after, but he can't.
He's suddenly glued to the ground as soon as those footsteps approach, blue eyes wide and body stiffening like a deer caught in headlights. 'They can see me they can see me they can see me oh I'm going to die,' he thinks, and as soon as he's nabbed from his spot, Sora's ready to cry out. He notices it's Amelia, lets out a sigh of relief. Although he's normally ready to fight, these are unknown enemies; and although he's normally brave and headstrong, right now any rash moves and any wrong, heavy swings will cost him dearly. The Keyblade Wielder notices that Amelia's doing something peculiar again, and all he can do to help is keep his trap shut and his body from making any unnecessary jerks. It's easier said than done, as cliche as that sounds. Sora holds his breath and waits. As soon as the shield's down, Sora immediately falls to the ground and rolls so that he's eagle-spread - back resting against the dirt road. He looks up at Amelia through childish blue eyes, the rush of adrenaline still pumping through his veins - even if he did close to nothing. He would've summoned his Keyblade, but the girl looked like she had the situation under control; and he didn't want to take that away from her. He knows what it's like to suddenly have a shift in power, without you knowing. "Doesn't just sound nice. It is nice," he says, and he almost sounds like he doesn't want to get up from where he lies. He does get up, though, dusts himself off - and his butt. He sticks his tongue out at the dirt that falls, and Sora lets out a soft little laugh. "Do you always help the poor lost lambs who decide to get in here without permission, Amelia?"[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NEXT POST: ah-ah-mee-mee-lee-lee-yah-yah! "Would you rather I let them have you, unlike my fa.....the head of the capital I care about the outsiders".
Amelia had almost let slip that she was the leader's daughter,if she just played it cool and pretended she was one of the crowd then he wouldn't be so worried about what happened to her.She wanted to help the survivors live not die at the hands of her father or the guards, already she has seen so many come before him. They're bodies covered in blood, the life in their eyes gone she was sick of it.Ever since that stupid creature came to they're home,it has been nothing but trouble and she couldn't stand people dying for no reason.
If she had to see anymore survivors die, then how would she be able to help them.Yes she didn't know what kind of powers they had or weapons, could it be that is also what her father feared. That they would band together and rise up against the capital, but Sora wouldn't do that would he.It was then she heard the click of a gun, turning her head she blinked seeing some of the guards that came back.Curses standing here they must have done a back sweep, she stood in front of Sora.
"Give us the boy you brat, otherwise we'll tell daddy you've been helping scum like him".
"Why protect they're kind,it's their fault the water is tainted and poison".
Amelia refused to move, guess the secret was out now.Her staff still in hand and her eyes narrowed, she might just have to summon Desperado.Unless she could reason with these guards, but that was like asking a dog to do new tricks.
"The only scum I see here is you,so keep moving or else.......".

But the truth hurts AND LIES WORSE. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sora admires her for her bravery, her ability to stand strong in the face of what would be considered as treason against her leaders. He's like that, too, but it's always so fulfilling to see someone else rise against the waters of corruption. The boy feels his throat clench and his heart stop, however, as soon as the voice of guards echo - the sense of rancid breath of public dispute. They reach his ears and they drum hard, fast, beating like that of African instruments. The Keyblade Wielder doesn't want to result to violence, knowing that that will only raise further suspicion as to the outsiders. He hears her voice, hears the intent dripping with each syllable - and briefly, his blue eyes flicker to register the staff resting in her hand. The boy's ready to fight back, and this time he can't rely on her. The word father is etched into his mind, and he thinks that bringing her to trouble is not worth his safety.
He flicks his hand, feels the majesty that is his Keyblade appear, feels his grip tighten and hold onto it like a lost brother. Sora's gloves practically meld with the weapon, and he's so silent that he's sure that he'll put these guards on edge with the sudden appearance of something that briefly resembles one used in combat. The Keyblade Wielder grins in pure, childish delight.
"Come on, Amelia. You can do better than that. Move along, or we're going to have to do something that's going to hurt you - " he points at the guards, feels bravery fill his soul and springboard out of his mouth through words " - more than it's going to hurt us."
He knows that he's not supposed to work with Amelia, Sora knows that possibly she'll get in trouble. But defense is important, and rather than just her life being lost for betrayal and his for cowardice, he wants at least to die honorable. He doesn't know about his companion, but he thinks her ideals are simple. Somehow.
"Don't you think?"
Childish grin, charming and sweet like honey.

SO PREPARE FOR THE COUP OF THE CENTURYbe prepared for the murkiest scam If you take a moment to listen, you can hear him approach. He has a grace derived from etiquette but a flare born from his ego. Walking silently is a simple task but he does not. Each step ends in a sharp crack because his is a presence you should feel coming because of his aura, because his is a presence that you should be on your knees before prior to his entrance into your downturned view. The heavy step of a soldier is all around him. Even that cannot drown out the importance that is him. Flat heeled boots, polished to a startling degree, control the ground they walk on as well as the men that walk with purpose beside him.
Like the Red Sea, the guards that have surrounded the daughter and her disease part. He is allowed his entry. He leaves them space. He is far enough to comfort them that he is not a physical threat but close enough that they can still see the tension in the soldiers behind him, to see that he has them all prepared to continue what he’d interrupted. His presence fills despite the great area they stand in. Aito Ibuki is not ignorable.
Deft fingers, gloved, interlock loosely before him. His head tilts as if to demean, eyes setting half mast as if to scorn, lips curve a faint and crooked smirk as if to punish. His teeth are sharp. Nothing about him is out of place and the air around him is raw and unparalleled. The soldiers have fallen back a step, looking more like dogs to his master. Simultaneously, his hands draw apart, fingers curling loosely into palms as they spread in an almost-greeting as his smirk becomes sharp and nearly tangible around him.
“Amelia.”
His voice rolls from his tongue like silk and blankets the confrontation. He has stolen their attentions and does not intend to give them back until he is satisfied. With one word, he has not only no doubt irritated the daughter of the man he advises but placed an intangible wall around the outsider. He has not acknowledged him in anyway and golden eyes lock with Amelia’s. His status as nothing more than a disease is solidified to both the plague and to the soldiers that itch to cleanse the city of him. He, of course, knows that the outsider is not a disease: he knows everything. But it matters not. Aito won’t spoil this charade yet because the ending can be so bittersweet if he waits that he can taste it even now.
But here, in the present, certain children needed punishment. "You are not immune to the law, Amelia." It is hard to say if he refers to himself or to Masuto's dictation. His hands have fallen to his sides but his smirk remains, cold and promising. The silk of his voice has gone slightly rough in addressing the girl. She is only just shy of three years his younger but Aito's mental age far exceeds his physical one. He treats her as if she is far younger, a child that should know but does not. But today, it seems, he will treat her as an adult, only because a child could get away with something like this. Her father is a powerful man. Unfortunately for her, Aito Ibuki is stronger.
This was not her first offense but that is not why he chose to go above Masuto's direct orders today. Aito was becoming bored with her useless rebellion and it wasn't as if he couldn't change Masuto's mind. Aito always got what he wanted. Today, he wanted retribution. "Execution, it seems, is not a foreseeable option. Instead, you will be branded a traitor of Iquoto and be forced to dwell publicly on your incompetence and disloyalty~." His grin broadened but the words could in no way be mistaken as a jest. He planned to do exactly as he said. Oh, he did hate her so.

"Sora......".
He had taken the words right from her lips, but it was words she did not want to say.She was happy he was now trying to be brave but was it something he was willing to sacrifice, risk going to the prison or be taken before her father. She nodded and turned back towards the guards, yes they can do this together.Amelia was a little shocked though seeing the weapon of his come out of thin air, even the soldiers we're taken back abit on how this outsider could do that. This boy was different from the one she had followed into that alleyway,he went from being scared to being brave all in one foul swoop.
Amelia's confidence soon melted away, hearing a different step of foots approach. These were not of soldiers but of one who had a heart of ice,and the words of a snake with venom in his voice. She felt her body tense up and slowly glanced over to see his figure approaching, the soldiers like dogs making a path clear for him.Of all the people to come find her it had to be the advisor to her father, she tryed to move away but her body wouldn't let her she was stuck in that one spot. But when he said her name, she frowned.
"Aito."
Oh did he irritate her alright, seeing his golden eyes lock with hers she found she couldn't look away.Again he spoke, she wasn't immune to the law he said.Did he forget she was the daughter of the leader of the capital, but even so breaking the rules that have been laid down was something she did quite abit of.Amelia if she was speaking to her father would probably just be sent to her room with no supper or locked in her room,or even slapped across the face for defying him. This was not her father though, this was his lap dog who the soldiers reported everything to.
Keeping her mouth shut that frown upon her lips still, tightning her grip on her staff listening to his words. She was to be branded a traitor, was this because he hated her.He would do anything to get his way wouldn't he,even go as far as to call her a traitor.Fine so be it she was a traitor now,she would wear it proud and not with shame. What she was doing was right in her mind, what her father and his dogs were doing was wrong.Aito should know it's not the survivors fault for the tainted water,it was that creature. Finally being able to look away, she glanced at Sora then back at Aito.
"Fine brand me a traitor, but let Sora go he just accidently came into the capital".

Hey Miss Murder can I MAKE BEAUTY STAY IF I TAKE MY LIFE? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The silent majesty that is the Keyblade remains warm and delightful in his hand, tingling and ringing with familiarity. He's oh-so-ready to get to the good stuff, ready to finally fight and get this over with, and then there's the sound of footsteps. They're not heavy and lugged and rushed, no. These footsteps take their time - and with each movement, calculated; calm: knowing. They're not your average soldier. No, this one knows what he's doing.
Sora's blue eyes narrow as the soldiers part like obedient puppies.
He sees him, then, and knows that whoever this is - and whatever he does: he has a lot more power than he lets on. Sora's grip on his Keyblade tightens, and his blue eyes darken with hidden maturity. Whoever this is, he's trying to shut him out. Sora doesn't like that. He gives privacy when necessary, and it's not necessary now. His knuckles are white with determination, and he lets his voice ring out without warning, without giving anyone a moment to think.
"I'm not just some random loser who came into this place," he says, voice holding that authority King Mickey placed on him - holding that authority the Keyblade gave him, instead of Riku, because of the darkness. Sora's grin is not in the least bit cheerful, but more of something to emphasize what he's speaking of - the fact that he isn't just some kid. "I know something's going on. Word's spreading like the disease that's moving around here, and they say the disease doesn't come from the outsiders. The townspeople have too much of an immune system to be affected by the common cold."
He's serious, dead serious, and although the words of Aito hold ice and death, his sounds more of a warm one - stating, not scolding; speaking of knowledge, and not of hushed rumor. Sora knows that Amelia's trying to be strong for him, but he doesn't want her to be. He's old enough to fend for himself, and he's saved his world. That has to count for something, shouldn't it? It should render him as more than a useless pest, shouldn't it? The scared act is something to throw them off, to make them think that he's a regular tramp and not someone important - but now he has to let go of that mask, and be what he really is. Sora's voice is that of one wiser than his age, and this is what propels him to continue talking, despite the atmosphere and the rendition of fear this man gives out.
Sora smiles gently at the high-ranking officer before him.
"The only reason your leader keeps outsiders out is because he's too much of a coward to admit that maybe it's his fault."
Sora's smile is warm, loving.
"You look smart. Didn't you ever think of that?"
His grip tightens.

SO PREPARE FOR THE COUP OF THE CENTURYbe prepared for the murkiest scam Perhaps treating her as an adult, even for something with such a satisfying punishment, was too much for her. Aito’s jaw tightens slightly, half in irritation, half with the struggle of subdue his desire to laugh. She’s an ignorant fool, just like her father, and both of them stand in his way. He hates them with a passion unbefitting of someone as great as he, but he can turn that disgust into false devotion with Masuto. Amelia does not deserve that much. He will not even try to pretend for her. She knows that she is useless to him; she knows that he would remove her painfully while swift. She knows that, as a puppet, she dangles by only one string, one that is knotted tightly around her father’s waist.
Aito meant to undo her, pick apart her words and crush her with them, but the boy interjected before he could even begin. The movement is slow but the blond lets his eyes slid uninterested from Amelia to her pet disease. He speaks well, better than most, and its saying something for he has utilized something Aito has mastered. He speaks above his years and he has, not a threat, but a promise in his voice. Aito finds the similarities and dislikes them. The child continues, on and on, without realizing that the advisor is the only one that hears and understands. He is speaking directly to divinity, perhaps he realizes, perhaps he does not. Regardless, his smile is nauseating, inappropriate.
Sora’s voice grates on his ears. It did not help him to speak: the accent in his voice is more threatening the great key he clutches. “I’m sorry?” Aito’s head turns slightly, bearing more of his ear to Sora. Behind him, his smirk spreads, lighting the faces of a handful of soldiers. He may be young but Aito has long since proved to them that he is superior. The majority respects him if only out of fear and because he owns them, they know him as well as they can know something divine. They know that he wins with words and that Aito has met the foreigner’s challenge. They are devoted and that is why when he crooks a finger to motion them forward, two grinning soldiers step forward to grab either of Amelia's arms. Can't have her running off, you know~. Not when he plans to mar her pretty skin. The staff is wrestled from her hands and placed in Aito's, his golden eyes never leaving the outsider.
To be honest, he is quite entertained by the boy. He is the embodiment of the doubt whispered through the street and Aito is willing to unleash him. The plan is simple but more than effective. Suspicion rises, Masuto quells, and Aito reveals. He will cure death. By this great herd of incompetence, he will be recognized as the Savior. For even fools know when they stand in the presence of something greater.
But his stature has been questioned by an outsider and for it all to work, he must be one of the herd, he must by loyal to the pig that is Masuto. “Your words are useless spells,” he returns, voice icy, turning the table to place what he himself is, on Sora. “Mayhap you do not harbor the ailment, but your brothers do.” He can feel the men behind him relax as if a hand released its crushing grip on his shoulder. They too are infected with effects of the disease: the weakness of skepticism. It is directed over Aito’s head toward the highest seat of power. Aito is their last link. He is the smartest, he is the greatest, what he says is true.
And any falsehoods are Masuto’s words.
“The capital city that is Iquoto is run by Masuto but it is not a dictatorship. Was there true misgivings in Masuto’s premise, questions would have come forth. We are not fools, nor are we instruments to be used and discarded.” Aito silently savors the irony. He is aware his words can be turned on him easily, but he’s setting the boy up. With each increase of doubt to increase, they better see Masuto through his eyes. Rise the waters in the dam until they spill over the top. He must play the “used” as well. If he is not one of them, he cannot have his rightful throne. “As an outsider, your opinion is far past irrelevant: you cannot understand the people of Iquoto in the mere half-an-hour you’ve spent polluting them.” Pollute. Disease. Outsider.
