 "YOUR THE HOME MY HEART SEARCHED FOR"[/color] Water dripped slowly from the roof of the chapel,the flowers in the middle draped in a fresh coating of dew.The benches in the chapel had been overturned and some broken,but that didn't bother one young woman who was bending down near the flowers.Her long brunette hair tied back in a twisted braid,her pink dress coming down to her ankles and she wore a red jacket.In her hair she wore a green hair tie,and on top the materia she had been trusted with by her mother before she died. As another drop of water fell into the pool below,rippling the calm water she slowly stood up and looked towards the sky.This sky was not Midgar,no her world had been torn away from it's very foundation and brought here to this new planet.But for some reason the planet here did not wish to speak to her,was it because she was a foreign person.But she knew who was responsible for this,Jenova. When another drop of water fell,she looked towards the doors of the chapel.Almost as if expecting someone to walk through them,even though this planet would not talk to her she was quite aware her friends were alright and that Jenova was behind this. Just another day for him. He was going to go the Aerith's church again today. To look for answers....Why was he sick like he was? He couldn't find it in his heart to tell any one. Not even Tifa. No Cloud was depressed again. And that church in the Slums was the only place he could find peace. Cloud had not known that Aerith was back....This would surprise him....He thought he was acting on his own coming here....But secretly, she called for him and he didn't know.
Cloud arrived. He parked his bike right outside the church as he leaft his weapon tucked neatly in his bike. He knew he would not need it here....And he climbed those stone steps that led to the entrance....Cloud has not been back here since he was cured of the Geostigma.....This time what he had even Aerith probably could not cure. Cancer....How he got it, well he was puzzled as the next guy....
"Man it's been a while...." Cloud said to himself as he walked inside....And saw the watering hole.....He walked up to it and bent down....As he remembered this is where he cured Denzel....And Cloud looked at his reflection in the water....He sighed....Nothing could cure him....Not even this..... |

Aerith just stood at the side watching him kneel at the watering hole,the ancient thought she would never see Cloud again.After saying her goodbyes at the chapel,leaving with Zack to finally be at peace in the lifestream.But that was not the case,she was not in the lifestream with Zack.She was standing here in the ruins of the chapel,her heart beating in her chest and blood coursing through her veins once more.She was alive,truly alive....a second chance.As her emerald eyes watched Cloud carefully,she stepped out from her spot at the side near the wall and walked towards the blond.Kneeling down next to him,she put a gentle hand on his shoulder.
"Cloud I knew you would come".
If he never had another place to turn to,this was one place he could always come.After all it's where she had first met Cloud,when he fell through the ceiling escaping from Shinra.Long before Cloud had fell through the roof,she knew in her heart that Zack had been killed.The planet had told her he was wounded with no hopes of recovering,all to save this Ex-SOLDIER.Even when she died,she never blamed Cloud for her death.He had come for her,that's all that ever mattered to her and the friendship they shared.But she was not dead,and she was aware of this sickness.
"Your suffering aren't you Cloud,the sickness which most have gotten you have it as well".
First the geostigma and now this,except this illness has killed people in less then a month. [/center] |

"Cloud I knew you would come"
Cloud looked up the minute he heard that voice. Was he hearing voices again because he was sick? But there she was. So beautiful and young like he remembered....
"Aerith?" He asked in disbelief.
"Your suffering aren't you Cloud,the sickness which most have gotten you have it as well".
"Uh...."
Then Cloud looked down and nodded at what she just said to him. How would she know? Well she was an ancient. So it was not a question any more to Cloud's mind how she would know. She might even see the pain in his Mako blue eyes....The last time he saw her, he just stood there and watched her die....
"You're not real....You're in my head..."
Cloud didn't want to believe that she was back. He was so sick that he came to terms that it was just his eyes wanting to see and his ears wanting to hear....Yes, Cloud still blamed himself for her death. Even after all that happened...But maybe she was acting as an angel for him on this world....Like she would before...He didn't know. All he knew was that people do not come back from the dead...Except one man....And Cloud made it to where Sephiroth remained dead.... |

Not real.....in his head,how could he say such things to her.No she was real,when she touched him didn't realize how real she felt.It was the sickness that was affecting him,but this time round Aerith had no idea how she could heal the sick.The geostigma she used her final limit break to shower all those that suffered from it,washing the cells of Jenova from their bodies.But this time she didn't know if the cells had gotten into the bodies of the people or if Jenova simply tainted the water,this planet would not speak to her.Many times she has asked it to tell her of all this suffering,to tell her how she can help everyone.Except this wasn't just her world anyone she would be healing,it was other worlds who were brought here as well.
"Cloud i'm real,i'm just as real as you are".
What did she need to do to prove it to him,how could she make him see that this was not his mind playing tricks on him.Wrapping her arms around him from behind,and resting her head on his back she would prove to him she was real.If Sephiroth could come back again and again,then this was just a miracle.Aerith would not disappear if he turned around,she would not fade away like all those time before.She wanted to help him,she wanted to see him get well again and not suffer.

Cloud took a rough breath as he felt her heart on his back. And that was when he broke down and cried. She was real....Her arms was wrapped around him....That soothed his pain , but only slightly. Not enough to fight this sickness inside him. Yes, he was one of the many that got this....He didn't know what to do....He now had a month to live....
"Ae--rith....?"
He asked her name weakly....He was scared. That he would not be able to protect her any more....Not even his friends nor family. He was done.....He was on the verge of giving up on everything. After all he did, he didn't deserve this....Not again....But some where deep in his heart, he was glad that she was there for him when others couldn't be. Cloud & Aerith always understood each other....That's why their friendship was so special..... |

Aerith didn't need anyone to tell her that Cloud was scared,he was frightened about the sickness running through his body.She would not let him die,he had friends such as her that cared about him too much to let him die.What would Zack say if he was here and saw his friend suffering like this,he would try and comfort him just as she was doing.There had to be something she could do instead of being useless,but what......what could she do to wash this sickness from Cloud's body.Gasping she heard a faint whisper,where was it coming from....was this planet finally talking to her.
She listened closely,the voice was weak and she could barely make it out.The words she made out were that there was a plant,a plant which grew in the forest near the port.The syrup from the plant if made into a medicine could cure the sickness,the voice then vanished as quickly as it had come.Letting her arms slip from Cloud,she now was beside him.There was hope,there was something on this planet that could beat the poison Jenova had released.
"Cloud the planet has spoke to me,I know where there is a cure".
And if possible she could get into the city,the leader he would have to listen wouldn't he.A whisper among many told was that the daughter of the leader,she was trying to find out if there was something they knew about a cure.And finally after trying to communicate with this planet,it has finally spoken to her when she really needed it to.All they needed to do was find this plant,and if allowed she would help make the medicine. [/center] |

The winds blew as a man of 23 years walked through the slums of Midgar. Swift blows made his stainless white suit flowed from behind him, revealing his metallic shotgun as he walked with his silver suitcase in hand. This young man thought that these slums were beneath me, he always did. This particular man hated dirty places. If this young man had to go somewhere, it had better be clean, as clean as the clothes he were to be wearing at the time. However, he wasn't here because he loved the slums, with him being the son of President Shinra being a huge reason for that. He was here for another reason, he was here to "gather" some help. This young man, Rufus Shinra, was not sure if the help he was looking for would actually agree to his proposition but he had to try. He felt that something was truly wrong, as he felt that whenever he looked up at the sky, he was not looking at the same sky as his own planet's.
Rufus Shinra had been a selfish man, all he cared about was himself, and not even about the people that lived to protect them. He threaten to rule by fear. However, most of all, he had tried to kill the very group that risk their lives trying to protect the planet under regular basis. Rufus had not seen the folly of his mistakes until he was nearly destroyed by one of the WEAPONs of the planet, and gained Geostigma. He tried to enlist Cloud's help but that didn't work. Rufus knew that he did help in the fight against the Remnants of Sephiroth but he needed to go further than that, much further. It was then that he heard of the WRO, that was when Rufus went into action, giving them large sums of money so that they may do what they can to protect the planet. Rufus wasn't sure if "they" would agree, without him giving his true disposition as the secret financial backer of the WRO. Rufus knew from the tech that he had in his suitcase that Edge was not on the map, so the only place most of "them" could be is in Midgar, the dystopia that he and his father had created. Rufus was glad that it was destroyed, looking back on what he had done, he loathed this place.
Rufus, as he walked along, found a motorcycle parked outside of the old church in Sector 5. Rufus smirked, as he knew that the owner of this bike, was indeed the man that he wanted to see, and he knew that this man was in the church. Rufus took in a deep breath and exhaled. He then walked in, and he saw Cloud, Rufus' intuition proved correct. As Rufus walked forward, he saw that Cloud was being hugged by someone else. Rufus sneered, his rough personality rearing its ugly head. Rufus walked forward a little bit more, and he dropped his suitcase making a thud noise, trying to catch their attention.

Cloud continued to cry. He just broke down. He was holding all this in from every one. You'd think he just lost his best friend....Which he actually has....But he was just scared....And nodded as his body still trembled a little.....
"Cloud the planet has spoke to me,I know where there is a cure".
Cloud looked over at her as she sat beside him....
"What?"
He heard her plain and clear. But if she found a real cure then he would do practically any thing to help those heal before he tended to himself.....Cloud always thought about others.....Since he was cured of the Geostigma.....He knew that it would be selfish if he did any thing first to himself.....Cloud then heard the loud thud that was made behind he and Aerith...He got up instantly and turned around....
"How sentimental..."
"Rufus Shinra.....What are you doing here?" |

Her words didn't finish as she heard a large thud,standing up she turned and looked over to see Rufus.He had come to this world as well,and he also had been another person who suffered from the geostigma outbreak from Jenova and her cells.Not that she was a cruel person or a girl who said anything ill towards people,but this young man right here had done things she could never forgive him for.Rufus was a cruel young boy who never showed any compassion towards people,all he saw them as were pawns such is what she saw when she was alive and also when she had died.
"You must have a reason for being here Rufus,but Cloud and I were just leaving".
Aerith didn't want to leave Cloud in this condition long,it wouldn't be fair if she got a second chance at living and he was to die.But whatever buisness Rufus had here with Cloud,she could only take a guess it wasn't going to be good.And what right did he have to barge into her church,her sanctuary.Or rather what would he think of her standing here in the flesh,not as a spirit.All she was to Shinra was a experiment,a object that was to be captured and studied like a animal. [/center] |

Cloud coughed slightly and nodded...Cloud hoped that Rufus was not asking for his help again....Cloud hated to be used like that. Cloud even doubted that Rufus knew he was sick. Cloud took Aerith's hand and started to leave with her. He wanted to find that plant....And get well again....This was really killing him....Just as they were to leave....
Cloud grabbed a pillar.....And let go of Aerith's hand...And felt the pain hit him....He fell on his knee.....And then he started to cough...As he covered his mouth....He then let go of his mouth as he saw blood....His eyes widened....He was running out of time....But hell if he was going to die....Then he was glad he was with a friend...... |
