Macalaina Woods: the most dazzling location in all of Spira. The sapphire forest was filled with glowing crystal formations and shining skyways. Butterflies could be seen fluttering throughout the magnificent shrubbery, but there were also various fiends wandering about waiting to strike an unsuspecting person. The most powerful and dangerous fiends that roamed these parts were Chimeras.
A mysterious figure in a red warrior's coat carrying a large katana over his right shoulder could be seen traveling through the woods. Everyone in Spira knew who this man was. He was Sir Auron: legendary guardian to Lord Braska, and his daughter, Lady Yuna. Together, he, Lady Yuna, and the other guardians defeated Sin, for good, and brought the Enternal Calm. He rarely spoke, but when he did, it was of utter importance.
It had been a little over two years since Auron was sent to the Farplane, and he hadn't the slightest clue how he managed to get freed from there. However, Auron wasn't one to ask those sort of questions. He continued to make his way through the paths; it was incredibly simple considering the man's reputation as a powerful guardian. He had the ability to lop off the heads of a Chimera with a single swing of his blade; he never feared fiends, but he still tried to avoid conflict as much as possible.
There weren't many civilians traveling through the woods, not that there ever was. On the other hand, one person did catch Auron's eye. A young blond-haired girl no older than probably eighteen years of age was standing alongside of the path. She appeared to be completely lost, and not in the way that she didn't know where she was going, but in the way that she didn't belong there.
You don't seem to be familiar with the area.

Yes, this place was quiet beautiful, and yes it looked like a magnificent and majestic place to be. But when you were lost, that majestic feeling to being in this place most have disappeared, because a certain blonde haired blue eyed girl was standing alongside a path, staring around. Her fingers were interlaced together and she had them close to her chest. There didn't seem to be many people out walking around on this path, which was odd and strange to her. She was used to constant people was well as fighting back in Tenebrae. The lack of people was throwing her off, very, very off. She kept close to herself as she looked around the area.
While standing there, a butterfly flew over to her. Flapping it's brightly colored wings, it flew around the girls head and landed on her nose. She stared at if for a moment, debating in her mind whether she should freak out or stay clam, she had never seen a butterfly before, they didn't have any in Tenebrae. But she decided to stay calm, and smiled as the butterfly's leg tickled her nose. Eventually the butterfly flew off and once more Stella was left alone without company, even if the company was merely that of a butterfly. She sighed, and closed her eyes. She didn't know the hell she was, or how she got here. She wasn't sure were any places she had been recently were.
Speaking of not knowing where she was, she had to take in to consideration her looks. She was wearing a black t-shirt with a white over shirt, a black skirt, and black combat boots. She wondered if any locals of this area even came by what they hell they would think of her. f she tried introducing herself as Stella Nox Fleuret, she was pretty sure no one would know who she was, unlike at home. She took her hands apart and moved them up her arms so they rested half way between her shoulder and her elbows, and she pulled her arm close, as if she was hugging herself. What else could she do really? She sighed deeply, figuring she will have to start walking again eventually in she ever wanted to find a way out of here.
You don't seem to be familiar with the area.
This made Stella look to her side a bit. It was there she saw the man with a red overcoat. She took in how he looked for a moment. His arm, his looks, the sword he carried, everything. Well, she had certainly never met anyone that looked like him before. She was a bit scared of how he looked, but in a foreign place it was to be expected. She decided to trust him, what more could she loose at this point? She stepped forward and she got a bit closer to Auron, but she stopped suddenly, feeling like she shouldn't get to close. She stayed on her side of the path, and she looked down, almost feeling ashamed that she was stupid enough to get lost in a place such as this without knowing how, but she slightly looked back up.
"Yes, I am not familiar with this area at all unfortunately..."

Auron watched as the girl acknowledged his presence. Her demeanor revealed a variety of mixed emotions; fright, loneliness, and confusion just to name a few. She was absorbing in his appearance, not saying a single word. It was obvious that she had never seen anyone that looked like him before, not that he expected that. It wasn't everyday that you spot a tall man carrying a large blade nearly as tall as himself, with fierce looking facial scars. Heck, he probably looked something out of a horror film.
The young female glanced down at the ground, apparently ashamed that she had gotten herself lost and was now facing a complete stranger. Auron suspected that she was from a royal family, since she wasn't used to the humility before. He continued to observe her as she raised her head slightly, looking at him once more out of the corner of her eye.
"Yes, I am not familiar with this area at all unfortunately..."
Auron couldn't help but smirk at her response. She resembled a child of much innocence, much like Lady Yuna during the times of her pilgrimage. The girl needed some help getting through the woods, but this place was far too perilous for a girl her age to wander alone. She desperately needed a guardian like himself.
You look like you could use a guardian.

You look like you could use a guardian. [/i] Stella looked up fully at Auron as this statement. Her, need a guardian? She had never even had a bodyguard before, let alone a guardian. She thought about it for a few moments, she was not sure if she should tell him she did or she didn't. Really she just needed to find the exit out of the forest. But he must know more about the forest then she ever could, and well, who was she argue if she did or did not need a guardian. She was sure she didn't, seeing as she could summon her rapier or a rune at any moment in time that it was needed to, but she took it was a way for her to gain some company, she really didn't want to venture through the forest alone, she needed people around. "Well, I supposed I could use one." She felt her somewhat frown twist up in a soft and warm smile aimed at the man. He looked so... mysterious and his looks still caught Stella by surprise, especially the multiple scars and such. But she was not one to really judge on the look of a person. To Stella, it was character that mattered most in a person. If he was ugly yet kind enough to help out a lost, then she thought he had to be one of the most noble and handsome gentlemen out there. But this is what Sella thought, she took in high regard one's personality and character, and for now he seemed rather nice. She tilted her head for a moment, just remembering one thing she forgot to mention to him, not that any time before this one was better. "But first, let me introduce myself. My name is Stella, Stella Nox Fleuret. Sorry for not introducing myself earlier." She gave a slight bow of apology, showing for certain that she was of royal blood. She then straightened herself and looked back at him. She held her hands together once more and kept them close to her. She always held her hands together when she was nervous. Sure she was sociable and bit outgoing, didn't mean she wasn't nervous about meeting some random stranger in the forest who told her she needed a guardian. However she remained silent and she waited to see what the man would say, or do, or if he would introduce himself.[/center]

The young girl finally faced him completely; she appeared to have been startled by his previous statement. It was pretty obvious that the girl never needed or wanted someone to guard over her in the past, but that was in her natural environment. Here in Macalania, this place was foreign to her, while Auron, the nomadic monk, traveled these roads quite often and was very familiar with the area. It didn’t matter to him if she took up his offer or not; he just thought of what was best for her. Besides, even if she could probably handle herself, the forest was still far too dangerous for someone her age to wander through, especially since she was lost.
Suddenly her eyes met with his, and she flashed him a warm smile. To Auron, it seemed like centuries since anyone had grinned in his presence. He wasn’t too particular about having company around him, but he didn’t like to see citizens in trouble either. It was how he was brought up to defend others, and that’s how he was to remain for the rest of his existence. “Well I suppose I could use one,” she finally responded, her voice sounding even more innocent than her appearance gave off.
He continued to watch her as she once again inspected him. He admitted he must have looked terrible with the large scar over his right eyelid, forcing his eye to remain closed, and his left arm placed in his warrior’s overcoat as if in a sling. The funny thing about all of these battle wounds was that they occurred after the same event. That day haunted Auron to this very moment, but he didn’t let it show that it bothered him. Instead he remained silent as the girl went through with the rest of her examination.
“But first, let me introduce myself. I’m Stella, Stella Nox Flueret. Sorry for not introducing myself earlier.”
The girl gave a slight bow of apology to Auron, which proved his assumption that she was indeed of royal inheritance. He motioned with his eyes for her to straighten herself back into her former position and she glanced back at him once more. Her hands lingered by her side, giving off the impression that she was still nervous about what the red-coated man would react. Auron turned away from her with a smirk shown on his face and released a small chuckle from his lips. He started walking in the direction that he facing, and stopped a few feet after.
I’m Auron.
