She stood there on the beach, clad in her usual attire save from her green trenchcoat, which laid haphazardly on the sand; the weather was far too hot for her to keep the garment on. Now this was a place she could get used to; even though it contrasted with her life of living in the busy city and undertaking assignments of chases and battles, the serene landscape of the beach offered so much more to Jamaila's current piece of mind.
She had never really been given the chance to just relax by the beach, or go out for a paddle in the ocean; she had usually been more focussed on working. Though it caused her to be respected and revered by her peers, the brunette would have been more than satisfied with a couple of vacation breaks. It was, therefore, pretty lucky that she had found this place - it caused her to catch up on the so-called 'breaks' she had missed.
Idly, she thought of her family, of a time that had been simple: following the rest of the world in purchasing goods and watching news reports of Shinra's continuing influence. With such a powerful company, her father had decided to issue deals and contracts with them. It helped, as Mr. Collyns was apparently a good friend of the President's. Everything would have smoothly run its course, had it not been for the truth that had been hidden behind closed doors.
Hidden experiments, greed and Mako exposure were just some of the issues that had been unveiled prior to the Shinra Company's downfall. Therefore, the rest of the workers - as well as the new President - had to pay back their 'debt', feeling that it was the only way to get the organization back on track.
She sighed to herself. 'No use thinking about it now. What's done is done.'
Which was true: time could not be reversed - there was no use brooding about it.
Therefore, she stood there with her arms lightly folded across her chest, contemplating her next course of action.
